Warranty

Our products are thoroughly tested to make sure we deliver a premier customer experience. This diligence creates a low return environment, but still, we warrant all of our products. The length of warranty depends on the product type, but will be a minimum 30 days unless otherwise specified. The warranty covers previously undisclosed operational defects and products received with incorrect specifications.

How We Grade

We realize consistency is vital in grading. Our customers count on dependable quality when working with Cal State. Click on a specific category to see our grading criteria.

    Mint

    • Like New - In Original Packaging.

    Grade A

    • No functional or cosmetic flaws.
    • Almost like-new condition.
    • No Scratches on the LCD.
    • No dead pixels or white spots (blemish) on the LCD.
    • No scratches on the case.

    Grade B

    • Minor scratches, minor blemish, minor dents.
    • May have minor scratches on the LCD not visible while in use.
    • May have 1-2 very minor dead pixels or white spots on the LCD not immediately noticeable.
    • May have minor scratches on the case.
    • No obvious dents, dings, or bent corners.
    • No dents, minor scratches, half-inch scratch.

    Grade C

    • Moderate scratches, moderate blemish, moderate dents.
    • May have moderate to heavy scratches on the LCD that are visible while in use or easily felt with your finger nail.
    • May have 1-2 obvious dead pixels or white spots (blemishes) on the LCD.
    • May have moderate to heavy scratches on the case.
    • May have noticeable minor to moderate case dents or dings that do not affect the proper seating of the digitizer.

    Grade D

    • Major scratches, major blemish, major dents.
    • Fully Functional.
    • May have severe scratches on the LCD, but not affecting the clarity of the camera.
    • May have 1-2 obvious dead pixels or white spots on the LCD.
    • May have severe case scratches.
    • May have severe case dents or dings.
    • May have minor lifted glass. - F
    • May have minor bent frame.
    • May have minor case cracks.

    Grade F

    • Severe damage, critical missing parts.
    • Fully Functional.
    • May have severe scratches on the LCD, but not affecting the clarity of the camera.
    • May have 1-2 obvious dead pixels or white spots on the LCD.
    • May have severe case scratches.
    • May have severe case dents or dings.
    • May have minor lifted glass. - F
    • May have minor bent frame.
    • May have minor case cracks.

    Mint

    • Like New - In Original Packaging.

    Grade A

    • Almost like-new condition.
    • Almost like-new condition.
    • No Scratches on the LCD.
    • No dead pixels or white spots on the LCD.
    • No scratches or dents on the case.
    • May have minor scratches on the bottom.

    Grade B

    • No functional or cosmetic flaws.
    • May have minor scratches or keyboard marks on the LCD not visible while in use.
    • May have 1-2 dead pixels or white spots (blemish) on the LCD not immediately noticeable.
    • May have minor scratches on the case.
    • May have minor hairline crack in housing.
    • May have lightly worn keys. 

    Grade C

    • Minor scratches, minor blemish, minor dents.
    • May have a moderate to heavy scratches on the LCD.
    • May have dead pixels or white spots (blemishes) on the LCD.
    • May have moderate cracks in housing that do not affect functionality.
    • May have moderate worn keys/trackpad. 

    Grade D

    • Major scratches, major blemish, major dents.
    • Heavy scratches on the LCD.
    • Dead pixels or white spots (blemishes) on the LCD.
    • Major scratches, cracks, missing plastics.
    • May have cracked / loose hinges.
    • Stains that are permanent including paint, stickers, and ink.

    Grade F

    • Severe damage, critical missing parts.
    • Not fully functional or severe damage.
    • May have lines, cracks, or no video on the LCD.
    • May have severe case cracks or damage.
    • Functional defects such as no power, bad USB, Ethernet, headphone jack, bad optical drive, bad keyboard or trackpad, etc.

    Mint

    • Like New - In Original Packaging.

    Grade A

    • No functional or cosmetic flaws.
    • Almost like-new condition.
    • No Scratches on the LCD.
    • No dead pixels or white spots on the LCD.
    • No scratches or dents on the case.
    • May have minor scratches on the bottom.

    Grade B

    • Minor scratches, minor blemish, minor dents.
    • May have minor scratches or keyboard marks on the LCD not visible while in use.
    • May have 1-2 dead pixels or white spots (blemish) on the LCD not immediately noticeable.
    • May have minor scratches on the case.
    • No major dents, dings, or bent corners.

    Grade C

    • Moderate scratches, moderate blemish, moderate dents.
    • May have a moderate to heavy scratches on the LCD.
    • May have dead pixels or white spots (blemishes) on the LCD.
    • May have moderate to heavy scratches on the case.
    • May have minor to moderate dents, dings, or bent corners that do not interfere with the proper opening and closing of the LCD lid.
    • May have moderately worn keys (can have dents).
    • May have minor screen delamination.

    Grade D

    • Major scratches, major blemish, major dents.
    • Heavy scratches on the LCD, dead pixels or white spots (blemishes) on the LCD, major scratches, dents, bents on the case, and/or  corners.
    • May have cracked / loose  hinges.
    • May have major screen delamination.

    Grade F

    • Severe damage, critical missing parts.
    • Not fully functional or severe damage.
    • May have lines, cracks, or no video on the LCD.
    • May have severe case cracks or damage.
    • Functional defects such as no power, bad USB, Ethernet, headphone jack, bad optical drive, bad keyboard or trackpad, etc.

    • May have major scratches on the LCD, but does not effect the clarity of the camera.
    • May have a major blemish on the LCD.

    Grade F

    • May have major case bends or dents on the case, but does not effect the proper seating of the digitizer.

    Grade F

    • Severe damage, critical missing parts.
    • Not fully functional.
    • Severe cosmetic defects.

    We sell graded bulk lots, defect & parts only lots, and have kitted ready for retail boxed product.

    On a select basis we do. You can also arrange your own freight and have the product picked up from our warehouse.

    Warranties are based on product categories, but all products carry a 30 day warranty at minimum valid from the date your product was shipped. The warranty covers operability defects and incorrect product specifications.

    Our warehouse is located in San Marcos California and our hours are 9:00AM - 4:00PM Monday through Friday Pacific Time.
